Getting Started
Creating an Account
Section titled “Creating an Account”- Go to the signup page.
- Enter your organization name. This creates a new organization that your team members will join later.
- Enter your email address and choose a password (minimum 8 characters).
- Confirm your password and submit.
You are automatically logged in and taken to the dashboard.
Logging In
Section titled “Logging In”- Go to the login page.
- Enter your email and password.
- Click Log In.
You are redirected to the dashboard after login.
First-Time Setup
Section titled “First-Time Setup”Before using BoMBot, complete these steps:
- Configure distributor integrations — Go to Settings > Integrations and add API credentials for your distributors (Digi-Key, Mouser, Newark, LCSC). This enables live pricing and stock data. See Settings for details.
- Create your first product — Go to Products and click New Product. See Products & BOMs.
- Import or create a BOM — Open your product and create a BOM. You can import from CSV/XLSX or add parts manually. See BOM Editor.
Navigation
Section titled “Navigation”The sidebar on the left contains the main sections:
- Dashboard — Overview, stats, and recent activity
- Products — Product list and BOM management
- Procurement — Multi-BOM purchasing planner
- Builds — Production run tracking
- Part Catalog — Parts library and inventory
- Settings — Organization, integrations, and team
Light and Dark Mode
Section titled “Light and Dark Mode”Click the theme toggle to switch between light mode, dark mode, and system default. Your preference is saved automatically.
